Dr. Gita Khanna

Dr. Gita Khanna has been recognized for her innovative and successful approach to infertility treatments. She is the first to have achieved successful blastocyst transfer pregnancy, laser assisted hatching pregnancy, and frozen embryo transfer pregnancy in Uttar Pradesh. Additionally, she is the first to have achieved the test-tube baby in a menopausal woman and ICSI baby in Uttar Pradesh.

Dr. Khanna holds an MBBS from GSVM Medical College, which she obtained in 1981. She went on to acquire her MS in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at the same institution in 1984.

Dr. Gita Khanna previously worked as a Lecturer in the Department of Obstetrics/Gynaecology at GSVM Medical College, Kanpur from 1985 to 1986. She then served as a Consultant at Awadh Nursing Home, Lucknow till 1989. Subsequently, she became the Head of the Department of Obstetrics/Gynaecology at Awadh Hospital and Heart Centre, Lucknow from 1989 to 2002. Dr. Gita currently practices as a founder, obstetrician, gynecologist, laparoscopic & hysteroscopic surgeon, infertility & IVF specialist at Ajanta Hospital and IVF Centre.

Dr. Khanna have recieved numerous awards and recognition for her work in the field of healthcare. She has been recognised by various state governments and medical associations for her contribution to providing quality healthcare services. In 2015, she was awarded the 'Swayam Siddha Women Achiever Award' for her exemplary service towards women's health. In 2017, U.P Health Minister Shri Siddharth Singh awarded her with a Health Icon award. Similarly, in 2018, she was honoured with the 'Health Icon' award from U.P Governor Shri Ram Naik. In 2019, she was further acknowledged for her work when she got the 'Excellence in Art' award from health minister Dr. J.P Singh and 'Health Icon' award from health minister Ashutosh Rana.

Dr. Gita Khanna is a member of several well-known professional organizations. She is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), the European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), and the Indian Society for Assisted Reproduction (ISAR).
