About Dr. C. James Chuong

Dr. C. James Chuong has been a board-certified Obstetrician, Gynecologist, Reproductive Endocrinologist, Infertility Specialist, and Medical and Laboratory Director at Cooper Institute for Advanced Reproductive Medicine in Houston since 1998. He earned an MD in 1977 from the National Taiwan University, College of Medicine, and an MPH in Epidemiology in 1978 from the UCLA, School of Public Health. He later earned a Fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility from the Mayo Clinic in 1985 and a Mini Fellowship in Assisted Reproductive Technology in 1989 from the Methodist Center for Reproduction and Transplantation Immunology, Methodist Hospital of Indiana, Indianapolis. He also completed a Preceptorship in Hypophyseal Portal Blood Sampling in Rats from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in 1989.

Dr. Chuong provides treatments including In Vitro Fertilization, Intrauterine Insemination (IUI), Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI), and Ovulation Induction. He served as an Intern at New Jersey Medical School Integrated Newark in 1979 and a Resident in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Michigan/Henry Ford Hospital in 1983. He was a faculty of the University of Texas, Medical Branch in Galveston and Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and an In Vitro Fertilization Program Director at Cooper Institute in New Jersey. He served as a reviewer for Am. J of Ob/Gyn and Obstetrics & Gynecology. He has received several national grants and merit awards from ASRM and ACOG.
