Dr. Hemlata Wadhwani Bhatia

Dr. Bhatia completed her MBBS in 2003 from G B Pant Hospital / Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi. She further pursued a Diploma in Child Health in 2007 from Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi. Dr. Bhatia’s passion for genetics led her to a Fellowship in Medical Genetics from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, in 2009, followed by a Certificate in Medical Genetics and Genetic Counseling from SGPGI, Lucknow. Lastly, she also undertook a Fellowship in Rare Disorder from the Care for Rare Foundation in Germany.

In terms of professional experience, Dr. Bhatia has held pivotal roles in various esteemed institutions. She served as a Board Member for Genetic & Rare Diseases at the Indian Academy Of Paediatrics. Dr. Hemlata was the Unit Head and Senior Consultant at Shri Balaji Action Medical Institute And Action Cancer Hospital, Paschim Vihar Delhi.

With a career spanning two decades, she offers a plethora of treatments and services such as Development Assessment, Infectious Disease Treatment, Growth & Development Evaluation, Dysmorphology, Paediatric, Fetal and Neonatal Genetics, and Treatment of Genetic Disorders.

The doctor’s dedication to the field of Genetics was internationally recognized when she was awarded the International Travel Merit Fellowship Award by the Care for Rare Foundation, Europe in 2014. Dr. Bhatia is registered with the Delhi Medical Council and is a Life member of the Indian Academy of Paediatrics and the Society For Indian Academy Of Medical Genetics. Her memberships further emphasize her commitment and contributions to the medical community.
