Dr. Karine Chung is a double board-certified obstetrician, Gynecologist, Reproductive Endocrinologist, and Infertility Specialist in Los Angeles. She earned an MD from Ohio State University and an MS in Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Pennsylvania. She also completed a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility from the University of Pennsylvania. She provides a wide range of treatments including In Vitro Fertilization, Egg Freezing, Intrauterine insemination (IUI), and Reciprocal IVF.
Dr. Chung served as a Resident in Obstetrics and Gynecology at New York University. She has been an Associate Professor, Founder, and Director of the Fertility Preservation Program at USC Fertility since 2005 and a Reproductive Endocrinologist at California Fertility Partners since 2019. She is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the Society of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, and the Pacific Coast Reproductive Society.
Dr. Karine was awarded as the Los Angeles Magazine Super Doctors in 2018 and 2019, the Exceptional Women in Medicine in 2019, the Southern California Top Doctors in 2019, and the Pasadena Top Docs from 2011 to 2018. She received the Prize Poster at PCRS in 2010 on "Perinatal outcomes in pregnancies achieved through gestational surrogacy: Investigating the influence of treatment versus host effects on ART outcomes." She received the Reproductive Endocrine Prize paper at PCRS 2008, on “Is microdose GnRH agonist in the absence of exogenous gonadotropins sufficient to induce multiple follicle development?”.
Dr. Chung was Appointed to the NIH Reproductive Epidemiology Training Grant (T32) in 2004. She received the Philadelphia Area Reproductive Endocrine Society’s Prize Scientific Paper in 2003 and 2005. She received the Outstanding Medical Student Teaching Award in 2000, and Samuel J. Roessler Research Scholarship in 1995. She was also a Scholar Athlete All-American in Field Hockey in 1993.
