About Dr. Kristen Cain
Dr. Kristen Cain has been a Fertility Specialist at Kindbody Atlanta since its establishment in 2021. She graduated from Jamestown College in North Dakota and completed medical school at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in 1988. Dr. Cain completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Connecticut in 1993, and a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of California, Los Angeles in 1995.
Dr. Cain specializes in treatments including In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), Egg Freezing, Preimplantation Genetic Testing, and Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) management. She completed an internship in Internal Medicine at UVA in Charlottesville, VA in 1989. Dr. Kristen is a board-certified Reproductive Endocrinologist who worked in the field since 1995. She established the donor egg program and the first egg bank in Long Island.
Dr. Kristen was an Assistant Professor at SUNY Stony Brook University Medical Center from 1995 to 2011 and a Partner and Director of the Donor Egg Program at Reproductive Specialists of New York from 1998 to 2011. She also served as a Physician at the Reproductive Medicine Institute of Sanford Health from 2012 to 2019 and at Carolinas Fertility Institute, PA from 2019 to 2021.
Dr. Kristen has received prestigious awards including the Resident Achievement Award from the Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons in 1993 and the Merch Scholar recognition for research in Down’s Syndrome in 1986. She was also honored in Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities in 1984 and was a member of the Alpha Chi Honor Society from 1983 to 1984. Dr. Cain was recognized as a Jamestown College Fellow in Chemistry in 1983.
