About Dr. Laura Detti

Dr. Laura Detti is a Board-Certified Reproductive Endocrinologist and Infertility Specialist by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She earned an MD in 1992 from the University of Florence and a Fellowship in Obstetrics & Gynecology in 2004 from the University of Cincinnati. She also completed a Fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility from Wayne State University in 2007 and a FACOG. She provides treatments including In Vitro Fertilization, Intrauterine Insemination (IUI), Ovulation induction, and Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI).

Dr. Detti served as a Resident in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Florence in 1997 and at the University of Virginia in 2002. She is the Chief of Reproductive Endocrinology Services at Texas Children’s Family Fertility Center and a Professor and Director at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston. She is a member of the International Society for Fertility Preservation, the Society for Reproductive Investigation, the American Association of Bioanalysis, the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology, the American Institute for Ultrasound Medicine, the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, and the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology Infertility (SREI).

Dr. Laura received the ASRM Star Award For 10 years of contributions to the ASRM annual conference. She was the Chair of the Imaging in Reproductive Medicine Special Interest Group for ASRM in 2020-2022, the ASRM Best Resident’s Abstract (Dr. Peregrin-Alvarez)-Mentor in 2019, and in 2018 Health Care Heroes Memphis Business Magazine. She was in UTHSC Mentor Resident Paper Day 1st and 2nd place in 2018, 2nd place in 2017, and at 1st place in 2015. She was the Chair of the Imaging in Reproductive Medicine Special Interest Group for ASRM in 2015-2016 and ‘Outstanding Reviewer’ of the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2009 - 2013. She was the Best Doctor in America in 2009 - 2014 and Best Research Project (1st place) from Wayne State University in 2006.
