About Dr. Mitwally

Dr. Mitwally is a triple board-certified Obstetrician, Gynecologist, Reproductive Endocrinologist, and Infertility Specialist at the Mitwally Fertility Clinic. He earned an MD from Egypt in 1990, and a Fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility from the West Virginia University. He later completed a Fellowship in Reproductive Genetics from the University of Pittsburgh and a Fellowship in Reproductive Sciences from the University of Toronto. He also completed a Fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology from Wayne State University and a FACOG degree.

Dr. Mitwally provides treatments including In Vitro Fertilization, Early Pregnancy care, Recurrent Pregnancy Loss, and Endometriosis. He served as a Resident in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Egypt and at the University at Buffalo, New York. His work on Letrozole use for fertility treatment was selected as one of the 25 historic papers over the last 75 years by the ASRM (American Society for Reproductive Medicine) in 2019. He has published over 150 peer-reviewed publications in scientific journals and has been serving as a scientific reviewer for several scientific journals.

Dr. Mitwally received the Award of the American Society of Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility, and the Jerome J. Hoffman Prize of the American Association of Gynecological Laparoscopists. He received the Pacific Coast Reproductive Society (PCRS) Outstanding Paper Award and the President’s Presenter Award of the Society for Gynecological Investigation. He is known worldwide for the invention of a new infertility treatment known as the Aromatase Inhibitor, Letrozole. He holds several patents on using Letrozole for infertility treatment and other reproductive disorders.
