About Dr. Peer Dar
Dr. Peer Dar is the Director of Fetal Medicine and OBGYN Ultrasound at Montefiore Einstein and a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Women’s Health at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He is experienced in performing Amniocentesis, Chorionic Villous Sampling (CVS), Fetal Echocardiography, and Ultrasound examination. Dr. Dar is board-certified in both Obstetrics and Gynecology and Clinical Genetics
Dr. Dar completed an MD from Tel-Aviv University in Tel-Aviv, Israel in 1986 and a fellowship in medical and reproductive genetics at Montefiore-Einstein. He earned a postgraduate education and a residency in obstetrics and gynecology and a specialty in high-risk pregnancies at Assaf Harofe Medical Center, Tel-Aviv University from 1992 to 1998 and at Montefiore-Einstein in 2005.
Dr. Peer was an attending Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist at Assaf Harofeh Medical Center in 1998 and from 2000 to 2002. He was a Fellow of clinical genetics at Montefiore Medical Center from 1998 to 2000 and Director of Prenatal Diagnosis Center, Maternal Fetal Medicine at Care perinatology from 2000 to 2002. He completed training in fetal surgery from fetal surgery centers in France and Belgium.
Dr. Peer is a member of the Society of Maternal and Fetal Medicine, the International Fetal Medicine and Surgery Society, and the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
