Dr. Robert A. Kaufmann is a board-certified Obstetrician, Gynecologist, Reproductive Endocrinologist, and Infertility Specialist at Fort Worth Fertility. He completed a graduate degree in Biochemistry in 1980 from Columbia University and an MD from the Sackler School of Medicine/New York State Program in 1984. He also earned a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology from Wayne State School of Medicine in 1990 and a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in ACOG-NIH Reproductive Scientist Trainee in 1992 from Eastern Virginia Medical College, the Jones Institute for Reproductive Medicine, Norfolk, Virginia, Mentor-Dr. Gary D. Dr. Kaufmann served as an Intern in Obstetrics and Gynecology from 1984 to 1985 and Chief Resident in Obstetrics and Gynecology from 1987 to 1988 at Wayne State University/ Hutzel Hospital, Detroit. He was an Obstetrics and Gynecology Resident at Wayne State School of Medicine from 1985 to 1987, an Assistant Professor at Eastern Virginia Medical School from 1990 to 1992, and a Reproductive Endocrinologist at Augusta Reproductive Biology Associates, Augusta from 1992 to 1999. He was also a Reproductive Endocrinologist at Southeastern Fertility Center, Charleston from 1999 to 2004, and a Division Director of Reproductive Endocrinology in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston from 1999 to 2004.
Dr. Robert was the Top Doctor in America from 2005 to 2018, the Top Doctor in Fort Worth from 2005 to 2018, and the Top Obstetrician Gynecologist in the U.S. in 2007 and 2012. He received the Compassionate Doctor Award from 2009 to 2018, the Patients Choice Award from 2011 to 2018, and the Texas Super Doctor from 2012 to 2018. He was the Outstanding Resident in Gynecological Endoscopy from the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists in 1987 and 1989. Dr. Kaufmann was the ACOG-NIH Reproductive Scientist Training Program (RSTP) Awardee and received the ACOG-ORTHO Academic Training Fellowship at Preimplantation Genetic Analysis of Tay-Sachs in 1990. He received the Prize Poster Award in 1990 at the 46th Annual Meeting and in 1991 at the 47th Annual Meeting of the American Fertility Society. He is a member of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), the Society of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, the American Medical Association, the Society of Reproductive Endocrinologists, the Society for the Study of Reproduction, the Texas Medical Association, the Texas IVF Society, and the Tarrant County Medical Society. He has been a Vice President at the Fort Worth Obstetrics and Gynecology Society since 2005.
