About Dr. Serdar Bulun

Dr. Serdar Bulun has been a board-certified Obstetrician, Gynecologist, Reproductive Endocrinologist, and Infertility Specialist at Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine since 2012. He earned an MD from Istanbul University in 1983 and a Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology from the University of Buffalo in 1991. He later completed a Fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in 1993. He provides various treatments, including In Vitro Fertilization, Intra-Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection, Intrauterine insemination (IUI), and Ovulation Induction.

Dr. Bulun served as an Intern and resident Pathologist at the University of Arizona College of Medicine from 1986 to 1987, an Intern at New York Presbyterian Hospital in 1988, and at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons at Harlem Hospital from 1987 to 1988. He was an Assistant Professor from 1993 to 1999, Associate Director from 1997 to 1999 at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He was also a Director and Associate Professor at the University of Illinois Chicago from 1999 to 2003 and a Professor at Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine from 2003 to 2012.

Dr. Serdar received the Distinguished Researcher Award from the American Society for Reproductive Medicine in 2012, the MERIT Award from the National Institute of Health in 2010, and the President’s Achievement Award from the Society for Gynecologic Investigation in 2002. He received the University Scholar Award from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2002, the Charles E. Hunter, Jr. Prize Thesis Award from the American Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists Foundation in 1999, and the Mead Johnson Research Award from the Society for Gynecologic Investigation in 1993. She also received the SRE Prize Paper Award from the American Fertility Society Meeting in 1992, and the Marcos Gallego Award from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, State University of New York at Buffalo in 1991

Dr. Serdar Bulun received the Buffalo Gynecologic and Obstetric Society Award for Clinical Excellence from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, State University of New York at Buffalo in 1990, the President’s Prize from the Society for Gynecologic Investigation Meeting in 1995 & 1999, and the SRE Prize Paper Award from American Society for Reproductive Medicine Meeting from 1996 to 1998. He also received the Walter Dannreuther Fellowship Award from the American Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists Foundation from 1994 to 1996.
