Dr. Sujatha Gunnala is a Reproductive Endocrinologist, Infertility Specialist, Medical Director, and Founder of Southwest Fertility Center. She earned an MD from the Medical College of Pennsylvania, and a Fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility from the Medical Center, Northern Division, and Medical College of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia in 1980. She also completed a FACOG degree. She provides treatments including In Vitro Fertilization, Intrauterine Insemination (IUI), Egg Freezing, and Sperm Freezing.
Dr. Gunnala served as a Chief Resident in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Medical College of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia from 1977 to 1978. She is a Frequent Lecturer, Consultant, and Adjunct Faculty at Midwestern University, Phoenix, and a Clinical assistant professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Joseph’s Medical Center/Dignity Health. She is also a Clinical Assistant professor at the University of Arizona College of Medicine, Phoenix.
Dr. Sujatha has received the International award from ARTA (Assisted Reproductive Technology/Andrology), Tossa De Mar, Spain, in Basic Investigations in Gynecology for the Publications Of "Kinetics of Meiotic Maturation in Cultured Human Oocytes Retrieved Following Oophorectomy" in 1992. She was awarded a gold medal in Internal Medicine, achieving the highest score in her graduating class. She has contributed to advancing the science and practice of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. She started the IVF program at Southwest Fertility Center in the late 1980’s.
Dr. Gunnala is a member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), the Society of American Reproductive Technology (SART), the Society of Reproductive Surgeons, the Society of Advanced Laparoscopic Surgeons, the Gynecologic Laser Society, the Maricopa County Medical Society, the RESOLVE, the Phoenix Obstetrics and Gynecology Society, and the Endometriosis Association.
